Located in beautiful, historic San Rafael, California, West End Nursery has proudly been a Marin County landmark since 1909.
The fourth-generation, family-owned nursery was started by horticulturist Richard Lohrmann, who emigrated from Germany to fulfill his American dream.
Eventually, Richard sold the nursery to his nephew, Karl Untermann. Staying true to tradition, the nursery is now owned and operated by Karl’s son, Tom, and Tom’s son,
Chris, who both continue to carry out the Lohrmann legacy under the Untermann name.
For over 100 years, the nursery has grown and evolved into a complete garden center, carrying everything you need to create the perfect home and garden sanctuary.
Choose from a variety of plants, full line of fertilizers and soil amendments, unique garden accents, pottery and statuary assortments, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Also on
the nursery grounds is the family’s original Victorian home, known as the Christmas House open from early November thru December.
